Canadian born musician and actor Tommmy Chong is well known in the 420 community. He sits on the board of NORML and is what could be described as a marijuana advocate.

His early work as an entertainer was as a musician with various Canadian bluesy bands. At one point he worked with Jimi Hendrix. Chong also wrote a hit song "Your Mama Know About Me."

You may recognize Chong from such shows as Leo from That 70s Show, South Park and Dharma and Greg. Besides his work in Hollywood, Chong wrote a book entitled The I Chong: Meditations from the Joint, based on his his experience in jail. (Chong was jailed due to a federal sting against marijuana accessories.)
